Result of Deliberation, thoughts/ideas/ reflections.
Architectural design is the process of turning ideas into a building.
It is the architect’s role to process these ideas, through a rigorous thoughtful process by which they can create architecture that allows the occupants to experience the meaning and philosophy behind the architecture.
Building materials, post, beam, floor.
Architecture in simple terms, is a composition of building materials to form space. What these materials and structures are and how they are perceived has a fundamental impact on how architecture is experienced.
It is an architect’s understanding of how a building comes together is what allows him or her to create a meaningful space.
Public place, a place of gathering.
The space that represents the public must reflect their collective aspirations; a place where people from all walks of life can come and place themselves in a world at large.
The architecture of such a place must be universal, a place for all, to allow all members of the public to engage with the greater society.
Earth, Land, Country.
The natural world shapes our identity, from culture, society and politics to our sense of place.
It is the role of architects to understand the relationship between ourselves and our history, society and nature, ultimately to explore how that should be reflected in the built environment.
